Sharp was born in Rochester (New York) and was a fervent student of the world of music. In the Hochstein School of Music, she studied cello, clarinet and piano. When she was awarded a scholarship to The Boston Conservatory because of her love for theater in schools, Sharp applied to The Boston Conservatory. Cum Laude awarded Sharp a B.F.A. Sharp's initial focus was on the stage. Sharp played in her first Broadway National Tour of Carousel. Other theatre productions include: Abyssinia, Aida, Thunder Knockin', Jitney, The Producers, Big Street, Suburb and Joe Turner's Come and Gone, in which Sharp performed alongside the playwright August Wilson himself. Sharp's work is not limited to the stage or screen. She has also written and written several scripts. Apart from performing, she is currently working on an album. Sharp is an exercise enthusiast who is a fan of boxing as well as study Krav Maga. When not being in front or behind of the camera or recording songs in the studio her hobbies include long drives, playing the piano, and taking hikes. Sharp lives in Los Angeles.
